Applications

Fully funded PhD positions are available for students with a strong interest and aptitude in computational science and in one of our research themes. Positions are funded for 4 years, including the placements with the external partners. Considerable funding is available for training, workshop and conference support, as well as for a laptop and other computational resources.

A limited number of positions is available for international students, including fees and bursaries. IELTS - If applicable, a minimum overall IELTS score is required. For details on the Universities' English Language entry policies, please visit the individual University Admissions pages.

Recruitment timeline

  • The application round for the 2021 cohort is now open.
  • Application deadline: February 12th 2021
  • Interviews (Skype or in person): second half of February/beginning of March.
  • Offers: typically within 2 weeks of interview.
  • Acceptance of offer: within one month of offer being made.
  • Note that applications will be accepted until the positions are filled.

  2. Apply for a PhD in Physics and chose either Astrophysics or Particle Physics as area of interest, add "AIMLAC CDT" in the 'Research Details' free form text box and complete the application.

Cardiff
