Events

The CDT organises a number of events throughout the academic year, to train the cohorts, exchange knowledge and interact with partners. Some events are within a cohort and some are across all cohorts. We work closely together with with the STFC CDT on Data-Intensive Science. The main components of the training programme are repeated each year, to train the new cohort. Additional talks and activities are added, depending on interest and feedback.

We are excited to announce that AIMLAC will be hosting its first AI conference on 23rd - 24th June 2022! This two-day conference will be based around the following three themes:

The future of AI
Applications of AI
Impact of AI

The programme can be found here and a book of abstracts here. The afternoon session on Thursday is devoted to the theme of extending AI and data capabilities as part of the Wales Data Nation Accelerator and the Alan Turing Institute Networking event. The press release can be found here.

2022 IAIFI visit at MIT

March 1-7, 2022
12 PhD students and two Faculty members visited the Institute in AI and Fundamental Interactions, IAIFI, at MIT.
The visit was supported by EPSRC.
